Another year gone – but an even BIGGER wow is that ten years have gone by – TEN YEARS!!! We’re at the start of a new decade and wow – WOW!!!
I didn’t have many plans for 2000-2009. I just had the usual girly plans – graduate from college, get married, buy a house, get out of debt, get a post-grad degree, adopt an animal. Well – I suppose I did all of those things but if you add get a divorce, lose the house to your ex because he’s a douchebag and go back into debt for the post-grad degree to the list – strangely enough, the list begins to lack luster.
Looking at the next ten years, 2010-2019, I feel like I’ve got a LOT ahead of me. Over these next 10 years I’d like to go into business for myself, pay off my student loans, go on a service mission, adopt a child (yep yep – I want to be a mom in the next 10 years), find a career I enjoy, find a cute place for my dogs and myself to live, tour/visit EUROPE, and maybe – MAYBE – have a relationship. Oh I know – a lot of people think the relationship thing should be the first priority and THEN a kid but we’re going to have to agree to talk about it later :) like in 5 years when I start filling out the applications to adopt an orphan from Eastern Europe where there is a staggering 250,000+ orphans living – but UNTIL then – let’s just put that discussion/debate on the back burner.
The last 10 years have been important – they were my “trial” years. And now – the next 10 years are going to give me the opportunity to use what I’ve learned and put it into practice. I hit my 30s over the next decade – I’m like really for real an ADULT ;) and that means a lot of adult decisions and adult responsibility. I’m a little nervous but excited.

OH BTW – AUS had a stupid postal strike – so my postcards prolly haven’t gotten to you yet. I hope you all get them over the next week.

Hey Daisy! Happy New year! Your goals and aims are quite admirable. Good luck with everything. I tend to just have priorities for the coming year and I started a list 101 thing before I die kinda a few years back, works very well for me.
Everything you are aiming for/Gaining you are giving up something else. Just be mindful of that. Good luck and happy new year! You are an inspiration!

I have no goals for the next decade. I don’t work in bigger picture terms like that. Just a bunch of short term goals that I wake up one morning and feel inspired to accomplish.

Happy New Year!!! Your plans for 2010 – 2019 sound a lot like mine…well except I don’t think I want to adopt a child, maybe have one, but not adopt unless of course I can’t have one on my own. Touring Europe – I’m all about that. I’ve been to and seen enough of England, I went to France, but only to Paris so I’d love to tour more cities there. I loved Paris – it was my favorite spot, probably cause I love Louis Vuitton lol!
I haven’t had the time to keep up with your blog the last couple of months. But, I’m back, and I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your life! It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one to go through the crap I go through. Your plans for the next ten years are exciting!
