Update #2 – bad news sucks

If I had written this post yesterday BEFORE I checked my email I would have told you about how EXCITED I was to see REAL LIVE WILD KANGAROOS!!!!  In fact – I saw a whole FAMILY of them – and they looked healthy and happy and oh so wonderful.  :)

I probably would have told you about Kalburri and Cervantes – the town that only serves one thing for lunch AND dinner – and I may have told you about the Pinnacles Desert and the cool pictures I took.  :)

But my heart is not in it today.  :(  I’m so many miles away from home and it’s Christmas and my 11 year old niece lost her mother this week – the week of Christmas.  I found out through email last night and my heart broke.   I don’t have cell phone service – I barely have internet access and all I want to do is be home with family during this difficult time.

Please keep us in your thoughts – I’ll try and tell you more about WA soon.

Daisy… I am so sorry to hear about your family’s loss. I will definitely keep you and your family in my prayers. May God surround each of you and bring peace and that you will remember the memories shared.

When you first announced your photo-journaling trip to the West coast, I thought, how wonderful. That is somewhere I’d like to visit also, a real far-away, far-out place of which many people are unaware even exists.

Now today you let us know that Internet Access leaves something to be desired–and that DID it for me. I could no longer LIVE without my computer being in touch with the world.

But YOU obviously, along with some solid experience in your chosen career, are having also a good time, enjoying the wildness of it all.

Peace to you and yours this Christmas, AH. May the JOY OF LIVING be yours now and forever. Happiness IS an “inside job”!
