BIG NEWS!!!!!!! Ecstatically excited!!!!
omgosh – wow I don’t even know where to start. (btw – did you connect ——>> over there yet?? YAY!!) Ok – let’s start with this:
I GOT THE OPPORTUNITY!!!!!
Seriously I am ALL smiles and excitement and butterflies and “I can’t believe this is happening because it is TOO good to be true” and “OMGOSH I better pinch myself to make sure it isn’t a dream!!!!” I am SO grateful! and thrilled! and a little humbled because I can’t believe it’s happening to and for ME. :)
As I mentioned yesterday I had an amazing opportunity dangled in front of me. Today it was finalized and GUESS WHAT??? I’m going to WESTERN AUSTRALIA for SIX DAYS for PHOTOGRAPHY!!!! I’ll be doing a lot of hard work as an “intern/assistant” for a professional photographer but this is an amazing opportunity to not only learn from a killer mentor but to EXPLORE and TRAVEL and ride in a HELICOPTER and help create a photographical narrative and – yeah – visit the REAL outback!!!! It really is a dream come true – and I say that with ALL sincerity.
And want to know the little icing on the cake?? He mentioned that he’d been noticing my 11 petals photography on Facebook and that’s what gave him the idea to ask me. OMGOSH!!! My Eleven Petals gallery and photoblog are really truly working for me as a portfolio!!! That’s SO EXCITING!!!

And so yeah … big smiles down under today. :) I leave next Thursday and will DEFINITELY keep you all updated. :)
