Trapped in reality

Something doesn’t feel right. You’re awake but you are apart from the world. You sit, a silent observer, trapped in reality, wishing it weren’t so. The world passes before your eyes, Oh if only this were a bad dream. If only you could wake up, safe and snug in your bed. If only you could wake up and be back home. But no such luck. You’re awake, and as much as you wish your life wasn’t happening at the moment – it IS happening. The time on the clock tick tocks forever steadily – time won’t be standing still anytime soon. And you, trapped in the in between, must push forward.

If we weren’t constrained by either of those things, imagine the things we could accomplish.
