In the last post I admitted I had started the latest diet trend:
The Himalayan Pink Crystal Salt Diet
and I also explained that I drank 3 liters of water and as a consequence gained 3 kilos or 6.6 lbs of water weight (because it didn’t “cleanse” like it was supposed to and I barely had to pee the entire day.)
But I thought – look I saw his abs 3 weeks ago and they DEFINITELY look better now – and he’s a smart guy so maybe I just need to give it time. So this morning I brewed up another 1T of salt + 1 liter of spring water and drank it. And then because it left me so thirsty (no really? that’s weird) I drank an ADDITIONAL liter of juice and water and then proceeded to drink AN ADDITIONAL liter of water throughout the rest of the day. So basically I’m trying to tell you that I gained an additional 6.6 lbs in water weight. Lucky for me today I DID have to pee a couple of times but seriously – definitely not enough.

EIGHT POINT EIGHT POUNDS??? FOUR KILOS IN FORTY EIGHT HOURS??? There is something wrong with this picture. My fingers look like marshmallows instead of pianist fingers. My feet are swollen so that they look puffy/funny. WHEN IS THIS DETOX GOING TO START WORKING??
I keep thinking that EVENTUALLY my body will hold so much water it will HAVE to get rid of it right? But how many pounds do I have to gain in the meantime??

If you were a cartoon character I think you’d be turning blue from the water by now.
And if it’s anything like the cartoons, eventually water will come gushing out of your nose and ears until you are just a shriveled up skeleton coughing on the ground. Shriveled up skeletons don’t weigh much.
So how’s this diet thing going? I’m trying to get back on the workout/diet bandwagon, but it’s hard! The holidays are here, mom is cooking a lot of good food, lots of dinners with friends/family…it’s going to be hard!
I started Couch To 5K (C25K) today…I can already run a 5K, but this will get me motivated again! I’ve also started counting my calories .
Hopefully I can keep off the weight that I lost in the past few months…if not, I’ll have to resort to starvation or something! LOL
