Oh I was SO impressed with myself this morning when I arrived to work for my EXTRA EARLY shift and was ON TIME! Wahoo! Things were going well – smiles all around and then WHOOPS! Daisy put her back out.
Say WHAT???
Alright you – I know I’m on the older end of my 20s but you can keep those comments to yourself! I’m agile and young :) like a little daisy waving in the wind (in the middle of the desert, on the longest day of the year during a drought.)
SNAP!
And now my “agile and young” back (which has suffered immensely from the cruel, cruel metaphorical desert) hurts. a lot. :( Dang dang dang.
(The Do – Stay (just a little bit more)
Ah well – c’est la vie. Now I have an excuse to cancel on Captain Charisma tomorrow night and North Sydney on Friday night. Both boys are kind of in the dog house anyway because I’m bugged by them … so whoopteedoo! now I have a really REAL reason to prevent them from using their magical boy charms (COOTIES) to escape from the aforementioned house.

Is there somewhere I can nominate your flower in the desert thing as “best metaphor ever” or something? I can just see that poor little flower and it’s crumpled back now.
Love the third picture there. You know I love a good hood.
And the poem.. well the poem is beautiful. And beautiful isn’t a word I use often. In fact, I feel a little dirty. Maybe I should shower. But tea’s cooking and if I leave it while I’m in the shower the flat might burn down.
Yet another new blog for me to start reading! This is why I love swaps.
I love the poem, Mich! I like how you grouped “Comfort, Protection and Excitement” together, because these aren’t words you see together often, it would seem as though the two former would come without the latter. But in a relationship, I think it is very imortant to have the three together – safe and adventurous.
P.S. You are such a rebel without a cause. Friendship my ass!
P.P.S. I’m glad you shared it.
P.P.P.S. I hope your back gets better, Daisy.
I love you sweetheart!
I love that you put “Stability” and “Adventure” together. Contrary to popular believe, you CAN have both… and you should. :-)
Mich – This was incredible. I think I feel the same way no matter the relationship. I am copying it down and framing it. Not kidding. :)
Daisy – So glad to “meet you” and I can’t wait to read more. Good luck with your day!
