Events around Sydney for upcoming weeks. :)

Hey everyone!!  THANK YOU SO MUCH for all of the birthday wishes!!!  :) :) :) My birthday started on a great note (my parents called and sang to me… CC+4 sent me a Happy Bday good morning text) and it ended on a great note as well (hot fudge gluten-free cake.)  Want to know what I wished for when I blew out the candle?  It’s a secret.

So … I only have a minute to post tonight but I thought I’d let you know what I WOULD be doing this week if I weren’t going to New Zealand.  :) And I have to laugh because Nicole from Laugh Out Loud said my blog reminds her of a travel website with the pics – and here I am about to give a total Event Guide for the next month.  :) Hope it helps the few Sydney-siders!!!

Events around Sydney

4 to 19 March- French Film Festival Celebrating its 20th year, the Alliance Française French Film Festival offers 35 films representing contemporary French cinema, screening at Palace Academy Twin, Verona & Norton Street.

7 to 15 March - Sydney Harbour Week (This is where I got the info for the walk on Sunday) Celebrate the natural beauty and exceptional diversity of Sydney Harbour with a week of special activities. Get up close and personal with the world’s most famous harbour with more than 25 events over nine days, and many of them are FREE!

7 to 28 March – The 2009 Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras (I don’t swing this way – but some of the events are pretty cool.) Mardi Gras is three weeks packed full of culture, entertainment and social events including two of the most famous parties in the world.

13 to 15 March - Blue Mountains Music Festival The festival of folk roots and blues is now in its fourteenth year. Get out of the city for the weekend and enjoy some great music. Trains run regularly from Central to Katoomba.

17 March (Tuesday) - St Patricks Day Parade and Family Day This one I WILL be attending – YAY! The Parade will start at the corner of George Street and Bathurst Street at 12.00 pm.

9 to 29 April – Sydney Royal Easter Show (Ooh – I may be doing THIS one with an overseas guest … fingers crossed that is :)) Around 900,000 visitors attend this unique Australian event each year. Agricultural exhibits, live music, extreme action performances, entertainment, food, rides, and shopping are all part of the fun.  Showlink tickets include public transport to and from the show, and early bird discounts are available on tickets purchased before March 25.

Alrighty – that’s a pretty sweet list if I do say so myself!  Have a GREAT day!  xoxo~Daisy
