Gratitude Journal Updates

Oh!!! and gratitude journal updates:

Wednesday – I found myself particularly pleased with Popular Penguin books again (an Australian specialty.)  I finished “The Consolations of Philosophy” and have now begun, “Six Thinking Hats.”

Thursday – I was like “hip-hip-hooray” for Centennial Park.  It’s sooooo pretty.  And even though I posted pics of the indigenous black swans in this post – I want to give another little shout out to the black swans which can only be found HERE in Australia.

Friday – I was so happy that Friday is a Friday is a Friday.  In the USA or AUS, Friday means WEEKEND!!  And time to RELAX!!!  I was definitely ready for a weekend yesterday.

Today – I am grateful for Australian small businesses.  It’s insane and I love how there are almost no food chains here.  Each restaurant is unique and has it’s own distinctive flavor and style.  I have to say Australia deserves mad props for this one.  It’s not like the USA where you have the Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, Tuccis, Buca De Bepo, Johnny Carinos, Chilis, TGI Fridays, Applebees, Mimi’s, Ruby Tuesdays etc … these restaurants are found on every corner in the USA and each seems to have comparable competing chain that is just as gross…  HERE I get to try new and exciting food every time I go out.

  1. That is a good point you make about their being a unique trend of one off resturants here; I had a nice night out in Daring Harbour at a Japanese seafood resturant. The garden salad was very basic in appearence but very different in taste to any graden salad I’ve had anywhere before. And I couldn’t get enough of their chili sauce and my Japanese waitress.
