Blogging almost got me in trouble AGAIN

I try to keep current relationships under wraps because they’re CURRENT and ya know … my blog is PUBLIC.  So although I’m never too far behind on events… I’m also certainly not up to speed. This never seemed to be a problem until today when out of the blue The Guy Without A Nickname was cold and distant with me and said, “We need to talk.”  What??  I just saw him last Friday and everything was A+.

Apparently I didn’t learn from the past… I forgot that people google blogs and stuff … well … more specifically I forgot that the men I date google MY BLOG.  I should have learned from MIUB!!!  (click here, if you missed the MIUB drama excitement.)

So anyway … I looked at The Guy Without A Nickname like “WTeff?” and he continued, “I read your blog.”  Then a client of his showed up (perfect timing right?) and I walked away shaking my head in amused shock.  AGAIN!?!

Of course the first thing that ran through my mind was like, “What did I post last night?” and then I remembered The Guy Without A Nickname would have no idea that my fun with CommitmentPhobe was like a month ago…

And then I had a choice.  Do I explain that even though The Guy Without A Nickname is NOT MY BOYFRIEND and I’m NOT exclusive with him!!! EVEN THOUGH I have no reason to explain my actions … do I choose to tell him that CommitmentPhobe is old news?  Or do I just say, “Ah well … time to move on?”

I took the high road ;) and decided to tell him.  After all, I HAVE been seeing The Guy Without A Nickname a few times a week for like a month … anyway … I sent off a quick text and you would have thought that the sun had just come out of 30 years of hiding.  And magically The Guy Without A Nickname now had time to meet me for lunch. I laughed at him.  Especially when at lunch he was all happyhappyjoyjoy back to normal.

“You were jealous weren’t you?” I teased.

“No I was just curious.”

“Oh really?  Is that all?  Because if you were JUST curious I think you wouldn’t have been so upset.  Nope.  I think you must like me a little.  AND you were jealous.”

“Well I don’t need to feed your ego,” he tells me, “You already know you have my attention.  But I wasn’t upset.  I was just curious.  It was just curiosity.”

Curiosity?  hmm … I bet.

Oh and today I’m grateful that my Vodafone gives me super cheap rates to call internationally.  ) I hated the whole Australian cellphone concept at first … but NOW – I’m a BIG fan.  Australian cellphone providers don’t believe in charging both parties for each call.  So instead of every call counting against my minutes – I only have to use my minutes for outbound calls; all inbound calls are free.  LUV it!!
