First – here are some updated pics … it’s been a while … haven’t really been in love with the camera as of late … but here they are – I’m still alive. ;) And now – on to the important things – like today’s blog post.

I’m in the wrong major.

oh – darn it! I always give in too easily. I SHOULD have waited to spill the beans. Ah well – on to the rest.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m still passionate about conflict resolution for sure!! But that’s not what I’m studying. No … instead I’ve found myself in a Peace Studies/Hippie-in-Training course.

If I had wanted to go into Peace Studies I would have enrolled in it. I picked Peace and Conflict Studies because I’m interested in the conflict side of things and well … because they don’t actually offer just Conflict Studies.

What a shame – my little heart would feel whole if I could get a Ph.D in Conflict.

I should have known right? Chalk it up to straight naivety on my part. I SHOULD have realized that Peace and Conflict Studies is the same as Peace Studies. But in my la-la land…

So this week I’m going to see if I have options. Like maybe only getting a Graduate Certificate and then transferring back to the states to get a Masters in something I WANT to study. We’ll see. I’m going to try my hardest to make this work. I’m tailoring all of my assignments to my personal interests and that may be enough. We’ll see. But yeah … gotta love it right?
