It’s Hot CHOCOLATE – not Hot Cocoa

Today was SO lovely. I got up early checked out a flat close by – it’s not my favorite choice however it’s available about the time I need to be out of here and it’s about 10 seconds from the beach. :)

Next I went to Fitness First to see about getting a gym membership and I almost died of shock. OH WOW! Everything in AUS is SO much more expensive. Fitness First is supposed to be the “Golds” of Australia except they are not as nice They don’t have cardio movie theaters, there are no lap pools, and they feature very limited machines. All of this for the lovely price of $88 a month. What is Golds? Like maybe $30 max? CRAZY!! There are no other options either – that’s about the best price you’ll find.

Next I thought about studying. I thought long and hard about it. If only thinking about it were enough…

My Flattie and I walked down to the beach this afternoon – a lovely stroll. We were gone for a couple hours. It’s so pretty here. (I’m focusing on the positive.) :)

And now I’m going to get ready for dinner – maybe I’ll think about studying a bit more… and then tomorrow is a BIG HUGE event in Sydney. I’ll take pictures – I think it’s the City to Surf Fundrasier.

Oh and as far as the title of this blog – apparently there is no hot cocoa here. Only hot chocolate. And that in my hands is hot chocolate with soy. It’s not as bad as it sounds. :)

  1. Please don’t conform to Australian standards. Adopt the lingo you feel comfortable with but for the love of God please don’t let these strange Aussies you hang around change you.

Beautiful pictures, even if it is stinky Bondi ;)

  2. That’s a beautiful area of Sydney. Freakin’ expensive, but beautiful. :)

You know, I’ve lived here 4 years (next week) and it never occurred to me that hot cocoa = hot chocolate here. I just never thought about that. Weird, eh?
