Daisy’s Photo Journal – DAY TWO – part one
Day Two – Friday
WOW – we had one ACTION packed day!!! We landed at 6:30 am and were go, go, go until late that night.
Davide had to go to work straight away after picking us up (or so he said
the truth of the matter is he decided to dawdle a bit before heading in.) He took the scenic route to drive us back to his house and we got our first taste of Australia. BEAUTIFUL!!!
This is the view from his balcony.
Quite the accommodating host, Davide made us fresh fruit juice smoothies before leaving us to our own devices and heading off to work. It was a shame to see him go but it gave Shezz and me free time to be devious.
lol.
First up – time to take pics of ourselves.
YAY!!! One of my VERY favorite things to do.

Next- driving on the wrong side of the road. I was the designated driver. Wahoo!!! Oh Davide – you were FANTASTIC!!! The GPS was a LIFESAVER!!! We would have been lost for SURE. But even with the GPS … I did struggle at first to keep to the left … which is apparent by Shezz’s reaction.

But WHATEVER!!!
I had it totally under control. I mean come on! It was a Land Rover – it could practically drive itself.
And really – it practically did. You should have seen the amazing parallel parking job I maneuvered – impressive!!! (Thank you rear sensor!!)
We drove to a University … I was SO excited. Here’s the entrance.
Oh wait … does anyone else notice there is no “University” sign? Hmm … that’s weird. Oh wait – no it isn’t. Samantha (the gps unit) FAILED US!!! Hahahahahaha! It was just a park.
No worries!!! Parks are pretty too. Time for some posing.

We were a bit baffled. Samantha the GPS unit is pretty much infallible. Maybe WE were the ones who were wrong … we looked around and found a nice woman in the park who directed us to the campus. It was a couple blocks to the south. We decided to head over there … but first – the park bench was calling my name. “Daisy – come pose!!”
How could I resist? I couldn’t.
So a quick stop on the bench …
A quick pic of the cute houses across from the bench …

And then a quick snap of the street …
Ooh I’m so glad I read fairy tales when I was little!!! Instead of leaving a sugar crumb trail… I have a digital camera to remind me of the streets I cross and the roads on which I park.
Ok – so the weather was beautiful – the place was beautiful – and Shezz and I were having a lovely time. Haha – bet you thought I was going to say “beautiful time.” Sucka!
FINALLY – The University!!
Ahh!!! Isn’t it pretty?
Ok – now the important stuff. Could I really SEE myself going to school here? Well – there’s only one way to find out. Time to pose!!!
Hmm … not so bad. The lighting is pretty good – the tile floors are historic … and the color of the paint matches my complexion fairly well. hmm … ok … so far so good. Better take a few more just to be safe.
Ooh – I like this one even better.

But better take ONE more just to be on the safe side.
Ok – it’s settled. I can see myself here. lol. And with the important vanity stuff out of the way
it was time to be serious. I spent the next 3 hours walking around the campus and interviewing the staff of different departments.
Ooh – time to head back to Davide’s and check out the beach in the afternoon sun. But I have to stop here – even though the day is only half over, I am super jet lagged and have a few things I need to get done. I’ll post the rest of the day and the rest of the pics of the day tomorrow.
